Just doing some housekeeping on the forum and noticed I never updated this thread. We DID end up hiring George to install our carpet back in 2011 and he did a great job at a reasonable price. Don't know if he is still around as I noticed the building where his shop was is now occupied by a different business.

I finally got around to stopping to see George in Mountain on our way up yesterday. He doesn't carry what we are looking for but he was very friendly and helpful. More than likely we will hire him to install the carpet when we get it.

Try George in Mountain. His carpet business is on the left as you come into Mountain from the south. He did a great job for us.

Does anyone know of a good carpet installer in the northern Oconto or Forest counties? We are planning on installing some new carpet in the basement of our cottage in the next month or so and would rather keep the money in the local area if possible. Feel free to PM me with any info you have.
